About the China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda

The Centre is based at Wolong Nature Reserve in Sichuan Province in China
and was established in 1983. The Centre’s primary role is to protect the
endangered Giant Panda and its habitat. It is the largest Giant Panda research
centre in the world. The Wolong Panda Club was founded in 1993 and is the public
window to the Centre’s research initiatives.
